Sometimes we all need a nerd in our back pocket, or in my case, all up in your business!
I know it’s hard to do all the things, and to give you space to be great at the things you’re awesome at, you need someone like me behind you, getting excited about all the little things in the background.
I have the capacity for another client from February 2025 onwards, so if you need an OBM who gets unnecessarily excited about all the things you wish you didn’t have to do but still find yourself doing, we should talk

Hi, I’m Esme, an #OnlineBusinessManager for #FemaleEntrepreneurs.
I support #FemaleOwnedBusiness’ with #Systems and #Operations
I’m a self-confessed #Entreprenerd (#Entrepreneur + #Nerd), and SOPs and documentation are my love language.
My newsletter is called #SystemsAndGlitter; you might like it.
It doesn’t have to be fancy, a public #Notion page that you can share with people is enough.
You might want to include:
1 Preferred comms platforms
2 Working hours
3 Time zone
4 Quick links to your client check-in booking
5 Your values
6 A calendar with vacation time
There are other things you might like to include; your birthday or other significant events could go on your calendar, your social media platforms, or your website as examples.
Don’t over complicate it at the start.
Of course, you can have this on your website, it doesn’t have to appear in your navigation, but it should be a live page that people can access without a password or anything.
It should come as no surprise that mine is on Notion, because I like the embeds that I can create, showing that time it is for me, as I’m in the UK but work to PST, which takes a minute to work out! So it’s handy for me to have a clock embedded on there so my clients don’t have to work it out either!
Do you have one? What platform is it on? Lemme know in the comments!

This is a perfectly acceptable reply and one that we're not comfortable in using.
Too often we think we need to have an opinion on "anything" someone asks, but we probably don't know enough about it to be able to comment, and still we try and give one.
There’s a rare authenticity not frequently afforded online by saying, “sorry love, I don’t have a fucking clue about that,” and leaving it at that.
Don't do it.
If it’s something you want to know something about or you feel would be useful to those around you or those who have asked the question, feel free to use, “sweetheart, I don’t have the first idea how x y z impacts your business, but give me half an hour and I’ll find out and get back to you.”
But if it’s not something you feel compelled to have an opinion about, say so.
We need more people willing to admit they don’t have the first idea about something, the peddling in half-truths and misinformation right now.
Don’t be a twat.

This tip has been so handy for me that I actually have 2; one for my 'Today' view in Todoist, and another one for my 'Upcoming' view.
You can pop the synced block anywhere without needing to sign into Todoist all the time.
Synced blocks aren’t just for information contained in Notion, anything you can embed in Notion you can pop into a synced block.
Caveat: This doesn’t work on mobile and the Notion app has issues with it staying signed into Todoist on Mac (I don’t have a Windows machine to test it out on)
If you like random tips like this, you might like to follow me, or not, you do you boo xoxo

If it doesn’t work for you babes, it might be time to knock it on the head and find something else.
It can have all the features you want and need, it can present information in the traditionally accepted format, but do you love it?
Do you enjoy being in it?
Do you like adding or finding information inside it?
Is it the first app you open when you go to your computer or phone to save something?
If you don't want to open an app - it doesn't matter how amazing it is.
If you don't enjoy being inside it - it doesn't matter how great it is at something.
If it's a grind to find what you want, it doesn't matter how easy it is to get information into it.
it might be you need to find another app, or it might be you need a new perspective on the one you already have.
But don’t get caught in the trap of thinking you have to carry on using something that doesn’t light you up simply because you’ve put time into it.
Fuck it off and find something else darling, this is your permission slip (in case you need it!)
Not sure what to use? Confused by choices? My DMs are open, let’s have a chat!

Heather is such a gorgeous and generous human, and offers the world so much.
Have you checked out her website? You probably should!
She has amazing services in Human Design and leading from embodied joy, and has a retreat in Costa Rica coming up in 2026.
She also has a live show on YouTube every Thursday, you’d love it

I've been journaling (not that consistently mind you) in Day One since 2011.
I mean, I have these good intentions, I’ve downloaded it everywhere and pay for a premium account, but I’m only human and I tend to forget (even though I have reminders switched on!).
It's important that we, as solopreneurs, recognize that our mental health is of the utmost importance.
Journaling can help us process what happened during a day or week, to “write it out” and get it out of our heads.
If we don't look after ourselves and our physical and mental health, our businesses could suffer.
Do you journal? Do you have separate journals about work or home? Or do you reflect on your day more holistically?
Or are you like me, have the best intentions of journaling but forget more often than not?

My clients call me 'wonderful,' and I love them dearly for it.
How do you talk to your freelancers and contractors?
If you’re not singing their praises, and making them feel valued, money may not be enough to make them stay.
They have skills you don’t. They can do things you can’t. They’re just as valuable to your business as you are.
Send virtual hugs to your support staff today.
Let them know how much you rely on them and how much you appreciate their skills and knowledge.
It’ll go a long way.

I mean, it's a vibe!
If you want to captivate people on socials, have you thought about getting someone in to do your socials for you? Someone who has experience and knows what they’re doing?
Maybe you could reach out to your peers and see who does their socials for them, they might have capacity to help you as well
